Private jet Ghana guide for 2026: Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi and Sunyani airports, current FBO considerations, route prices, aircraft options and booking advice.
Private jet Ghana traffic runs almost entirely through Accra International Airport (ACC / DGAA), renamed from Kotoka International in February 2026 — but the airport is the easy part. What sets your price is where a suitable aircraft happens to be sitting when you want to fly, and whether your destination needs a jet at all.
Below are live computed estimates for real Ghanaian routes, every airport that matters, and the Accra handling situation that changed in 2026.
Computed now from real aircraft performance, runway data and positioning costs — cheapest matching aircraft, one-way, four passengers.

The estimates above price the whole aircraft movement, not a seat. Four things move them.
Charter demand here splits three ways. Regional West African business flying is the largest: Accra to Lagos, Abidjan, Lomé and Cotonou are short sectors where a turboprop or light jet is usually the right answer. Domestic charter is real and under-served, particularly Accra to Takoradi for energy and port work, and Accra to Tamale for northern travel. Long-range flying connects Accra with London, Dubai and the US East Coast.
For a domestic hop, resist the instinct to size up. A short Accra–Kumasi sector does not need a large-cabin jet, and the money saved on cabin size is better spent on flying at the time you actually want.
| Aircraft class | Seats | Where it fits in Ghana |
|---|---|---|
| Turboprop (King Air, PC-12) | 6–9 | Domestic sectors, shorter regional routes, secondary airfields |
| Light jet (Phenom 300, CJ3+) | 6–8 | Accra to Lagos, Abidjan, Cotonou and domestic business trips |
| Midsize / super-midsize | 7–10 | Longer African routes and selected European missions |
| Heavy / long-range | 10–16 | London, Dubai, North America, larger delegations |
The fleet guide has full specifications — range, runway requirement and cabin — for every type our engine prices.
Private jet Ghana operations have long been associated with the Terminal 1 FBO at Accra. That is no longer safe to assume. Ghana Airports Company stated in 2026 that the operating agreement had been terminated and the terminal closed following a contractual dispute; the operator disputes this and continues to market the service.
The practical step is simple: ask your charter provider who is handling the flight and where passengers are processed at Accra International on your travel date. That answer is worth more than any description of a lounge.
Prices on this page are computed estimates, not quotes. Final pricing depends on aircraft, positioning, handling, permits, passengers and date.
